ADF Partner Assistance Employment Program
The Partner Employment Assistance Program (PEAP) is an initiative specifically designed to support the career development and employability of partners of Australian Defence Force (ADF) members, particularly during relocation periods. This program recognizes partners’ unique challenges when military members are assigned to different locations, which often leads to disruptions in their employment.
Consequently, PEAP provides valuable financial assistance and resources aimed at enhancing partners’ professional skills and job readiness. For instance, this may include funding for training courses, certification programs, and workshops that focus on building essential skills needed in the job market. Moreover, the program also offers support for resume development, interview preparation, and career counselling. As a result, partners can feel equipped and confident in their job search, ultimately paving the way for a smoother transition into new employment opportunities.
PEAP aims to improve partners’ career prospects and contribute to their overall well-being and financial stability by facilitating access to job opportunities and professional development. This support helps create a stronger sense of community and resilience within military families, acknowledging partners’ important role in the ADF lifestyle. Overall, PEAP is a vital resource for partners striving to establish or further their careers amidst the demands of military life.
“Partners can access funding for support that helps secure employment. Support initiatives customised to individual circumstances include professional employment services up to $1,500 per posting or professional re-registration up to $1,500 per posting”.
